New Mountain Ventures (NMV) was founded by a team of entrepreneurial leaders with a passion for launching new enterprises and leading teams through entrepreneurial leadership development experiences. In addition to launching nearly 20 organizations (both for-profit and non-profit, generating over $100M in revenue and serving ten of thousands of people globally), NMV’s founders have brought their experiences and passion into the classroom—having led workshops, developed leadership curriculum, and taught groups of emerging leaders for the past 10 years. NMV’s founding partners are also the authors of Life Entrepreneurs: Ordinary People Creating Extraordinary Lives (Jossey-Bass; 2008)

NMV works with learning organizations at nearly all levels—from high schools and universities to executive education and adult enrichment programs. Participants in our programs are exposed to and trained in the art of life entrepreneurship.

Our methods have been developed and honed through years of helping people achieve personal and professional excellence through entrepreneurship. The life entrepreneur travels his or her path with a spirit of innovation, creativity, optimism, vision, risk-taking (and risk-mitigation), network building, personal accountability, and reflection.

NMV has developed proprietary life entrepreneurship programming incorporating all of these elements.
