NMV’s founding partners are two entrepreneurs who have helped found:

• two profitable companies (combined revenues over $100M)
• two non-profit organizations (providing direct service to 1,000+ underserved and high school youth, plus a national foundation with more than $40M in assets)
• a leadership, entrepreneurship, and service program for high school students in Washington, DC
• a dozen public schools across the country, now serving about 20,000 students
• a national government service initiative (placing 400 entrepreneurs in 96 non-profit organizations for a year of service)
• a restaurant/bar in Santiago, Chile

In addition to having a passion for building successful new enterprises, NMV’s founders share a deep belief in the potential of “life entrepreneurship.” Though entrepreneurship is commonly thought of in work settings, we believe that the spirit of entrepreneurship has great potential to stretch beyond those barriers and pervade our lives.  It is the interplay of people’s work and personal lives that makes complete human beings motivated to live well as they accomplish great things.

This philosophy is best reflected in the recently released book written by NMV’s founders: Life Entrepreneurs: Extraordinary People Creating Extraordinary Lives (Jossey-Bass; 2008).
