NMV has developed life entrepreneurship programs both for individuals and teams.

Through NMV’s programs, participants have the opportunity to take a Life Entrepreneurs Personal Assessment© and develop a personalized Entrepreneurial Life Plan© (ELP) including:

• Discovering core identity
• Awakening to opportunity
• Envisioning the future
• Developing goals & strategies
• Building healthy support systems
• aking action & making a difference
• Embracing renewal & reinvention

These programs can be conducted in a multi-day session, an incoming student orientation, or through an extended curriculum offering. The goal is to expand participants’ horizons and sense of what is possible. Participants come away with a better sense of who they are, where they want to go, how to get there, and who can help them along the way. They will also develop a clear road map for becoming a life entrepreneur.

In addition to our individualized learning programs, NMV also facilitates team-building workshops (through retreats, outdoor leadership programs, etc.). The focus is on producing high-performance teams. In these customized workshops, small teams are led through a process in which they:

• Are introduced to life entrepreneurshipExplore the elements of core identity, including purpose and values, passions, strengths, and more
• Conceive a joint vision based on a set of established needs
• Develop goals and strategies
• Identify inherent risks and create a risk-mitigation plan
• Identify the resources required to launch and sustain the work

The goal of these small group workshops is to enhance team cohesion, provide every participating team member with a deep working understanding of entrepreneurship, and provide challenges for the team to grapple with using tools taught in the workshop. (We also have a little fun along the way.)

NMV’s life entrepreneurship workshops and programs are complemented by a personal assessment and set of exercises, which track the flow of Life Entrepreneurs: Ordinary People Creating Extraordinary Lives (Jossey-Bass; 2008). These tools are designed as an entrepreneurial leadership development activity to help people create and lead an extraordinary life.
